I am lucky enough to have a friend who is a (former mathematical ecologist and) gourmet chef in San Francisco. And I am lucky enough to have friends who live in Bolinas, California, smack in the middle of the Point Reyes National Seashore. A highlight of springtime loveliness was the lavishly catered wedding of my gourmet friends Jessica and Jonathan in Napa Valley, combined with a sleepover and hike in Point Reyes. We sure are glad that Jessica ditched grad school for the good life.
